Why learn a language?  

The main reason we learn a language is to enable us to communicate with others!

Following on from previous topics, we will now learn the skills which will enable us to discuss another aspect of our lives with German speakers- Pets!!

Germans are famous dog lovers and many breeds of dogs originated in Germany….can you guess any? You can get inspired by having a look at this video!

Of course, there are other pets will we want to discuss with our German friends.

Objective

In this series of 6 lessons, you will

• be introduced to ten key words and be able to retain them
• be introduced to their genders (der, die, das)
•  express your opinions on these animals
• source the vocabulary for a further ten animals
• tell us what pets you have.
